carb swap qjet to edelbrock question

i have a 87 trans am 305 with auto trans took out faulty quadjet for a edelbrock 1406 carb now i need to get the service engine soon light to turn off any sugestions will be helpfull thank you

I see no one has responded to you and this....I am not the expert on the car....
But first I would find out " why " the light is on.... anyway to read the codes on this car...
Is it a OBDI system ????
Changing carbs may have created a lean or rich fuel condition.

The only way you are going to get the light to go out is to remove the bulb.
Since you no longer have the CC Q-jet, the ECM knows this and sets a fault.
