How do I aim the headlight on my 02 grand prix?

I changed the drivers side headlight bulb on my 02 grand prix and when I put the assembly back in, the aim of the headlight was way off. The beam points up in the sky, not down at the road. I consulted the user manual but it basically just says it should be done by a qualified mechanic. I was wondering if anyone has done this. There appears to be two star shaped screws on the top of the assembly on either end. Adjusting them may be how the aiming is performed, however I don't have the tool to loosen or tighten them. I tried a wrench but it just seemed to cause damage to them. :banghead: Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you,

You can try the visual procedure in the link below to get the headlights in the ballpark. The adjusters you see are for the vertical and horizontal positioning of the beam. A 1/4" socket from a 1/4" drive socket set should fit the star adjusters.

Scrapper1 and BNaylor, I appreciate the quick responses. I went to Advance and bought a 1/4" external torx socket (star shaped) for $3.50 and used that on the top star shaped screw and it did the trick. It moved that headlight right down a little at a time. Now I am perfectly aligned (I used that link you gave me to double check - thanks again). I'm in a pretty good mood :grinyes: now. Thanks for the welcome to AF!
