I have been draining my coolant by pulling the lower hose. The only plug i see on the drivers side lowest part of the rad looks like a twist lock and it does spin but stops at a point. I dont want to break it so i just pulled the lower hose on the rad to drain. I need to drain a smaller amount to raise up the alch level but i dont want to pull the hose again. I was told on the 98- current its a 3/4 socket but theres no plug like that on mine.
My girls 98 grand am has the same plug so i would like to familiarize myself with how it works.
Thanks

yeah, that little plastic plug on the drivers side twists and you just pull on it. the plug doesnt actually come out of the radiator though.

yep, just twist it with a 3/8 inch rachet. It will only turn about a quarter turn and then it will just pull out about a half inch. At this point coolant will be pouring out.
Be carefull not to break it off, but if you do I think Dorman sells them in their HELP! section at the auto parts stores.
