Driving home yesterday and the darn thing started clanging really bad. pulled over and inspected the running car to see the AC compressor pulley wobbling quite badly. After car was shut off, there is quite a bit of play from side to side when wiggled by hand, metal shavings underneath it, AND refrigerant oil on bracket.
Is the AC compressor bypass pulley an easy reapir, or is there another quick way to fix this? Keep in mind that I cant afford a new compressor, or one from a junkyard.:crying:

:disappoin You failed to mention the year; but regardless, it might be cheaper to get a used compressor from a JY, than a new bypass pulley & belt. :dunno:

yes we need to know the year man,, riviera has been since at least the 1960s.
if you need a good clutch assembly for long style compressor of the 70sand 80s then lemme know i am parting a nice 116k miles 85 riviera out
you need a special removal tool set to remove and install the clutch hub
good luck
