98 Lumina... buzzing noise?

1998 Lumina. Makes a weird buzzing noise. It seems to come from under the car. It only does this on hot days, after the car has warmed up. It has never made this noise when it is cold out. The buzzing is constant and the noise does not increase or decrease in volume. Any ideas would be appreciated. I am really sick of hearing it. Thank you.

From inside the car?

is it when the car is moving , and/or idling?

It could be an exhaust-vibration, one of the heat-shields either being shaken by the engine or the wind.

It comes from outside of the car. Seems to come from underneath the car.

It does it both when the car is moving or idling. When the car is warmed up and it is above 70 degrees outside, it does it 100% of the time.

Fuel pumps will sometimes buzz or whine when they are on the way out...

Take a broom handle and put it to your ear and the other end on the gas tank, see if you hear it in there...

It started doing this last summer.... How long would a fuel pump be "on its way out" before it went out?

Dunno...each is different...

Also could be the gas tank vent solenoid chattering...you 'll find it back near the left rear wheelwell I think...

If it's in the rear, it's gonna be related to the fuel or evap amissions system...
