This is my first time pulling a Metro engine. Any tricks, or tips I should know? Should I pull both tranny, and engine together if I want to do the clutch?

its s lot easier to pull engine and tranny as a unit than to just change the engine. you can pull just the engine but its a lot harder and have to pull parts off and real hard to try to line it back up when you put it in

How much of a job is pulling the CV's out of the trans?
They have JDM's for 495.00
and rebuilt for 695.00
Whats the better was to go?

I have done both, put a jdm into a 91, and put a reman longblock into a 93. For $200 more, I would go with the reman ( as long as the reman has the head with it. If not go with the JDM.
Both mine worked well, but he reman was so much easier to do. On a JDM, you don't have to, but I changed all the gaskets icluding the headgasket. It's just a good idea to make sure you don't have issues later.
Pulling the axels is rather easy on our cars.

Is 700.00 a good price for a rebuild? It looks to have a head with no cam or valve cover. No water pump, or pulleys, or dist. and comes with both manifold gaskets.
Anyone know of a link, or thread about pulling/installing a 1.0L engine?
