Hello, i have this 94' Chevy Lumina 3.8L

the other day the alternator went dead, i rep laced it with a new one, during the exchange, i accidently touch a ground spot, with the positive cable that goes on the alternator. and sparks where popping..

anywayz.. My sides markers dont turn on, my front head lights dont turn on, and one of the flashers (the left one) is stuck, Its always ON (Solid state, not flashing)

idk if this was cuased due to the sparks when replacing the alternator.

im lost and confused, how can i fix this problem. i cant drive the van without lights and flashers.. (the hazard lights work as normal, but lights on front dont work, only the ones in the back)

any help is appreciated..

if your confused, let me know and if you ask me a specific question may be ill be able to xplain it better. My english is not good.

thanks

The wire that touched ground is connected to the battery at the starter though fusible link H but then, if it had blown out, the alternator would not charge thereafter...
Make a voltage test with engine running..should be near 14 volts. SOme elements/relays/flasher can be impaired by low voltage.
YOu did not mention clearly if the loss of lights, etc, arrived after the incident....
