01' Focus with Zetec loosing antifreeze

My brother-in-law was given a 2001 Focus with Zetec 16valve engine. It has been loosing antifreeze and he has not been able to find any leaks. There is no water or antifreeze in the oil. Oil is OK. Also he says there is no smoke from exhaust. I think he has a head gasket issue and the coolant is going into combustion chamber(s). Also he replaced plugs and wires is still getting a P0302 code. He pulled plug wire from #2 postion on coil pack and the idle did not change. Is there anything besides a bad coil pack that would cause misfire?

Compression test that cylinder. It may be a head gasket or some other problem.

Replaced coil. That fixed miss and P0302 code. Also found that fans were disconnected. Motor was getting hot and boiling coolant out before it would shut down. Reconnected fans and seems issue with coolant lose is also been taken of. Brother-in-law says he still did not see any coolant leak. Thanks for response.
