Best thing to do is check the fuel pressure and make sure it is in specs. Also, did you replace the fuel filter? Long starting times can be caused by a weak fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, or the check valve located in the fuel pump assembly.

I have replaced the fuel regulater, and filter... and i guess that leaves the fuel pump? and i was wondering does the check valve come with a newly rebuilt fuel pump or is that a seperate purchase?

your car might be out of time alittle tru checking your timing and if your timing is good try your fuel delivery

As far as I know the timing on our cars is not adjustable.
Before you replace the pump make sure you take a fuel pressure reading. If its 40 psi or above it is fine.
If you are experiencing hesitation under light load while driving in addition to the hard starting you might have a dirty EGR valve.
How many miles do you have on it?

I have 200,000 on the engine and i have also notice when the engine warms up it also has a surge in it. i have run the engine up to 2,500 rpm to see if if there would be any notice in fuel drop and it remained steady.

I had a similar problem and could not pass the emission test. I have replaced the plugs and wires and passed marginally. I was told to use injector and valve cleaner fluid and things will improve. I have 197k so it is kind of normal to have clogged injectors.
