Pads, Rotors, and Calipers

Simple question, how hard is ti to replace al three? Well, mainly the rotor and caliper. I've replaced brakes before and I believe my father-in-law can do rotors. If not, I know a few people that can, but what about calipers?
Pep boys wants to charge me $700 to replace all three on one tire. Sounds like BS to me when I know it only costs maybe $200 to get four pads and rotors replaced.

you can buy 2 new calipers, a box of 4 pads, and to rotors at autozone (at least in toledo oh) for about 150 bucks....plus your core charge... and changeing all three is fairly simple. You just have to make sure you bleed the air out of your brake lines when you are all done.

You didn't say what year. Assuming you have 4wd, the rotors should be separate from the hubs. An easy swap.
Like Wishbone said, bleeding is key if you replace the calipers.

Ugh, I had a feeling. My father in law though blames himself since he changed my brakes pads so he's picking up some. Other problem is, I'd have to have it towed like 40 miles but thanks. It's good info for the future.
I started reading up on it and check out that generic "Do It Yourself" book in Autozone. Thanks guys! Why I love this place.

What happened? Did the screws fall out and what damage was done?
The job is basic but there are some tricks. Usually we don't replace the calipers unless you have damage or the piston is rusted. There are also rebuild kits for the calipers.
