I have a 1987 jeep Cherokee that has 274k on 4.0 inline 6 when I come to a stop and go it pugs out and pops if I start to pump the gas it stop only happing’s 1 time a day I was thinking my be fuel related but not sure the way to go any help thanks

yes but sometimes it dose it when im driveing did it me me and pummping the gas did not work thanks

Start simple. Plugs, cap, and rotor. Plug wires. Air filter. Throttle body clean. Make sure those are new and report back to let us know how it is.

Make sure the parts you got are good quality parts. I believe champion truck plugs are good and a good set of wires from napa,not advance auto should prove reliable. Also, check your voltages and vac. line to the MAF sensor located on the firewall with a vac. line running from the back of the T-body.

I put the new plugs and car rotor and plug wires and a new air filter and fuel filter in today I only when out far about 5 min but did not have the problem I will take it out on Sunday for a a few hr thank you all for your help will net you know how it did tomorrow thanks aging

its doing it again if I put it in neutral and reeve it up and then back in drive it stops doing it the a lil bit later it comes back any more help thanks

Ok today it got rally bad and would not go anymore so I started looking under the jeep and found that the crank sensor and o2 sensor and a nether sensor wires wore ran in between the header and meted to bare wire there was about 6 wires and touching I pulled them all out fix it and drove with no pro so all it was is bad wires thanks every one
