noise problem - window/door 323 1999

I’m at the end of my rope with my 1999 323i window noises and I’m also just about at the end of my warranty, so I’m hoping someone might give me some advise as to what the problem could be or where I might scream loud enough to be heard. The current problem is a rattling noise in the area of the passenger side door. I also have a wind noise coming from the rear passenger side of the car that was not there until BMW maintenance replaced my side door edge protectors and tightened the driver. I have had the regulators replaced on both the windows and the afore mentioned edge protectors, also the driver on one door has been replaced and the door has been adjusted. I also had a leak in the rear passenger side that was fixed.

The rattling noise in the front passenger door occurs with more frequency at lower speeds and especially after the car has sat for a while. It seems to be sensitive to the road surface although when first moving the vehicle the rattling will occur even on a smooth surface road. It also seems to be temperature sensitive and doesn’t make as much noise when the weather is colder. The wind noise in the rear window sounds as if the window is open a crack and becomes bothersome at 40 miles and greater.

The dealership thinks that the sound from the rear is normal and they haven’t a clue about the front noise. If you can tell me any resource I might check with or any direction that the mechanics should be looking in or just anything to help me get this problem resolved I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for your reply...I've had the seals lubricated and then replaced and still I have a problem. Actually replacing the seals is what got me the wind noise in the rear. Any more ideas are appreciated.

Hello, I have the same problem with the noise from my windows from the back. I have another problem with the 323i and maybe someone can help....my temperature is on celcius rather than faherneit. one day it was on faherneit and the than it changed to celcuis. i am not talking about the on board computer above the steering wheel. I mean the one underneath the radio that controls the heat/air condition. The mnual says nothing about how to change it. Please help me. Thank you for your time.

I dont suppose the noise could be coming from the door seals instead of the windows?
