ok, changed the battery on my 92 jeep cherokee, have changed a dozen b4 with no problems, this time while tightening the nut must have touched something because got a spark while doing it and blew the fuses to my starter, and ignition, try to replace the fuses and as soon as i put them in they blow.. any ideas? is something else blown that is now causing a short? is there something i have to do? dont know if this makes a difference but last battery was 630 cranking amps, store was out so i got a battery that is 700 cranking amps. any ideas is appreciated.

the cranking amps dont matter, that is a cold start feature for cars, like -20.
double check your connections. a different battery might have the connections + - on opposite sides. and this is just double checking yourself, that is all.
Is there a small wire that comes off the bat. cable that goes to ground?
are their other connections to the bat.?
Usually shorting between the positive post and ground wont burn up a wire or blow a fuse for that matter, just startel you.
For future reference, always tighten the positive cable first, then if your tightening the neg. cable and the wrench hits ground, you will have no worries. you just keep the wrench away from the pos, connection.
Make sure you didnt pinch a wire when installing the new bat. Pull the bat. back out and check.
