I have a miss that is only in #2 plug #5 on the same coil fires.
I have replaced the coils, control module, crank sensor and the computer, still #2 has not spark. grounds are good and have checked all the wires they are good. I think I'm ready to put a match to it...

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:banghead:

Just to be sure, you replaced ALL coils, ignition module and crank sensor. Were they new parts or used? Have to ask, a lot of people will use used parts to save money. I have myself when I had too. The coil can spark on one cylinder and not the other if it is bad, and module can be bad right out of the box, although rare. Not sure how you are checking for spark, but I will run the engine and check each wire to see if it is sending a blue spark 2 inches plus. If not or if itis yellow or a much shorter spark then that is not enough. if it is not sparking right there is not much else to check. Either bad wire, bad coil, bad module.... If you are getting spark you could have other issues like a bad injector causing miss.

I have no spark at all on #2. I pull the wire and hold near ground and no spark also plugged a grounded plug into it still no spark do the same to #5 and its nice and blue. Everything is brand new not used. the ICM I took back twice and then had it tested at autozone said it was good. coil is brand new checked with meter both primary and secondary are with in specs. I even swapped the coils around and #2 is still dead.

I am at a loss then unless the coil is still bad despite the tests, or, perhaps a broken wire between the computer and ignition module. Sounds like a tough one here. Maybe some others will have some advice.

If you swapped coils around and #2 is still dead, you have a bad ignition control module. Did Zone run the test multiple times to get the ICM hot? It is the only part that could cause no spark on one specific cylinder after swapping plugs, wires, coils etc...

Yes the zone had it nice and hot.....
I got it fixed...... seems that the ICM was bad. I put in another icm and swaped the coils again and it runs fine.

next time If I think a part is bad I'm going to insist on a replacement and I don't care what their machine says!:nono:

thanks for the replys.
