I Just got my spark plugs changed. Well, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my problem but it could.
Problem:
after picking my car up, it sounded like it was running a little groggy, but it had been sitting there for a week, so I figured that was probably the case. But after driving it for a while it didnt improve. Later that day, I had just pulled out of the store parking lot, and I was starting to accelerate, and my car kinda gave a little, (loss in some power) like a mis-fire and then my SES light came on, and I started smelling something. It smelt like either gas or antifreeze, I couldnt really tell, it was almost like a mixture of the two. I drove the car home (about a mile away) and I turned it off, called up my mechanic asked him about it, he said he wasnt too sure, so I went to start the car again looking to see if I could find anything under the hood while it was running, and it wouldnt turn over.
OH, I forgot. When I had it sitting my house idling, It was really rough idle, and I pressed gas a little, and alot of smoke came out of exhaust pipe.

it is likely not everything was connected correctly when he put everything back together. he would have had to take teh intake plenum off and get a new gasket for it. if he did that incorrectly, that will cause problems, also if he didn't connect one of the spark plug wires, it will misfire.
If he didn't put the right brand or quality of spark plugs it isn't going to run as good, and perhaps misfire.
If he put the wrong octane of gas it isn't going to run right either.
couldn't tell you for sure, but i'd sooner pull the motor and put a new one in than change the sparkplugs. lotta work, for not a lotta benefit

Smoke in the exhaust?
Check for oil in your coolant, possible blown head gasket.

Alright, the blown headgasket is what I had figured. Because It smoked, and it smeld like burnt antifreeze.

doubt it is a blown headgasket, the headgasket is metal!! odds are he didn't put the intake manifold gasket on right.
unless he did more work than he let on and was covering screwing up your head in some fashion.

Ahh, well I just talked to the guy, he was telling me something about my #3 cylinder not firing properly.

Okay guys, problem fixed. The #3 plug was bad, and wasnt firing properly, and on my drive home, it stopped working all together, and from what he told me, thats what caused that problem. Its fixed now and runs great. Thanks for the suggestions.
