My Santy alarm stopped churping

The other day when I went to "arm" my Santy, it didn't "churp" like it was supposed to. I did the usual two presses, the lights blink, but no sound. Does anyone have any ideal why? And if so, what do I do to fix it? :banghead:

You might want to check the hood pin. On my older Santy it would not chirp if the hood pin was not depressed properly. (Don't think that the hood being closed would depress the pin. The rubber bump on the hood had a depression from the hood pin and it did not press down the hood pin far enough. At times the alarm would go off for no reason and at times no chirp (but would arm).

Other than that I can't think of what else it could be. It can't be the circuit on the FOB since its arming.

This problem seems to be intermittant. It'll stop after heavy rain, snow or car wash. After a few days, it'll work again. It seems to be some kind of short. Where do I look? BTW, Hyundai will be more than happy to diagnose the problem for a small fee (if the problem is not covered under the warrently).
