ooh hmph haha didn't try searching ebay. i was just thinking some other after market would continue (for what reason i don't know). but yeah ha its a pretty penny but it would help to make the car a little bit more practical for daily use.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crx
European markets, however, received a more powerful ZC 130 hp engine and four seats. haha, so it says.

Four seats... what a joke? It's not even a 2+2. Those seats are smurf seats at best. Plus, if your car is lowered on anything less than a decent suspension you will sag like an old woman's titties with someone in the back...

yeah i wanted one for a time but theyre too much money for something i wouldnt even be using..if ppl ride in my car i make them sit on the bench lol ive had 5 in my car before, granted just for a mile or two to go to my buddies house but if you get the seat ppls necks are gonna be hurtin. i didnt kno they came in the euro ones i thought just the jap ones..

they came in jap. and uk. i just sold mine for $400. my friend wanted them and i was hurtin for cash. i want to buy another set in a few months. it's hard to find a COMPLETE set. mine was. all the bolts screws and mounting plates. well ya gotta do whatcha gotta do. i used my rear seats. you just have to move forward a lil.
use ebay and goodluck at finding a complete rear seat set up. don't pay more than $500.

IMO, it defeats the whole idea of a crx to add a back seat. You'll notice that the seats don't slide on their runners like most 2 door cars with backseats so people can enter and exit. From what I understand civic seats don't bolt right up to crx seats so that's one more obstacle if you really want to get technical. But it's your car so do whatever you want...

lol not intirely.. *rereads the whole 4 seater crx portion above* but that doesn't really explain whether the crx built seats are hard to install, unless im wrong and they are simply just that; civic seats installed in the crx. even though that wouldn't explain the whole phenomenon behind why they would be so hard to find in the first place... :screwy:
but anyways, haha how much are you selling your CRX SI for tutle?

$1,000... needs some body work and paint
I just meant that they designed the civic hatch to carry people in the rear and left the roofline straight so there would be headroom whereas the crx was designed with a more aerodynamic roofline/hatch with no regard for rear passengers and/or headroom.

that is true.. but as long as im going to be driving i could care less (or not as much ^^ ) for my passengers haha if you know what i mean. Shiest.. i've fit 6 people in the back of my '89 camery once because no one else had any rides and we were far off from downtown.. haha good times right?
but anyways, do you have any pictures you could send me of your crx? what type of body damage?

I just got a camera phone but it was dark this morning. I'm going to take some pics as soon as I get home but I won't be able to post until tomorrow (and if I can get them loaded on here). Sunroof sheetmetal needs to be redone. Driver fender is bent up. The whole driver side rocker panel had rust cut-out and is really hollow. The car is a beater but runs good. Selling locally in SC only.

hmph haha nvm then; i live in seattle. but yeah im thinking about getting an Si, '88 and up (for the seats ha). But im looking for a great deal (as with everyone else) so i can pick up these seats later.
Somewhat of a sidetrack, but does the sunroof leak? is it a trend for them to leak? otherwise i'd much rather just go with a standard CRX.

If the sunroof drain pipes are clogged and the weatherstripping is worn out, then yes sunroofs do leak. The fact that your in rainy ass seattle wont help either.

my sunroof hasnt leaked yet..the back hatch where the shocks meet with the frame sometimes leaks if it rains hard enough but thats the only problem ive had

well, to get back to the backseats. they are fairly simple to install. if you have all the parts, it should only take geez an hour maybe. you will need to drill a hole for the middle seat belts. be careful because the gas tank is underneath. other than that it is easy.but make sure you buy the crx backseats and not some other civic ones.

i had a hard time putting them in my 91 crx. i bought a jdm crx and when you put the front seats all the way back there is about 2 or 3 inches of room. In my US crx, when you put the front seats al the way back, it is right next to that little trunk thing they have. I dont know if the jdm is a little longer but some of the outside body panels look a little different. like the molding on the door that falls off everybody's crx

My sunroof dripped on my head so I sealed the bastard shut. It may be flaking paint but doesn't leak.
Interesting about the slide length of the JDM vs. USDM seats. Maybe it's because the JDM crx's have back seats and that 2-3" is supposed to suffice for foot/leg space for passengers in the back. LOL

Even if you get an Si with a leaky sunroof, i still say its worth it over a dx crx. You can always fix the leak like turtle said and you would probably be happier with an Si, IMO. If you want a drag car then find a low model HF and swap, but if you want something nice for daily with a sexy interior that you can add rear seats to, get an Si.

with 4 people in the car a stock suspension drops about 2 1/2 inches or more in the back
