93 Tercel 5SP - Post engine swap, transaxle "clunking" ?

I swapped out my daughters 93 Tercel 5 speed engine without any difficulties [found a low miliage one from a veh accident writeoff]:grinyes:
The issue now appears to be in one/both of the transaxle gear housings.....only when actually driving, if I hit the gas, I get a low pitch metal on metal clunking sound. Almost as if the transaxle is is loose and the transmission spins an 1/8th of a turn before engaging the axle
The transaxles were both replaced two years ago, and shud/appear to be in excellent shape.
Is there something I may have messed up in re-installing them ?

Sounds like a motor mount issue to me. I would check the mounts on the tranny and make sure they are all there and secure.
