I Would Like To Know If There's Really A Big Difference, Between Generic Air intakes VS Name Brand Intakes like K&N, AEM Air Intakes????? Because You Can Buy Air Intakes Off Of Ebay For 30-40 bucks, versus the k&n, and aem intake that go for about $$$200. If Theres A Difference, Is It Worth Paying That Much More???? Also Whats Bad About Buying A Generic kit, and going with an expensive filter????
thanks

screw AEM....they're all the same...or similar anyway...maybe AEM is a little better...but with the miniscule performance you get out of an intake...who the hell's gonna notice?? ;) go as cheap as you can :)

i agree. they are all pretty much 3" "tube"...with all pretty much the same bend. if anything, get a cheap intake and a good filter.
i paid a little more for mine but, it's 100% real hand laid carbon fiber. most of the cf ones are some funky canister looking things

yeah, it's just mandrel bent 3" steel pipe. lots of places in my area just make them from scratch custom on every car out of 3" mandrel bent steel, then you can get it painted or not so it's actually cheaper since you don't have to paint it if you don't want. or you can polish it.

Im probly gonna go with AEM, cause even tho you may not notice a difference, you'll be able to say you got an AEM CAI rather than Ebay Generic. That's just my opinion. :frog:

I dunno about AEM, sure they have a great reputation, but it seems like now a days you are just paying for the name. Maybe I should put an AEM sticker on my Ebay generic

DO NOT use a cold air induction kit with plastic tubing! Prelude SH w/ blown motor due to a hole in the plastic & then the motor sucked the little plastic fragments & toasted the head #2 #3 #4 pistons. Voided entire factory warranty.
