Towing question

Since I'm such a great vehicle owner, I lost my original owner's manual. But I plan to throw caution to the wind and drive from Georgia to California towing a uhaul trailer. Anyone know the max weights pulled from the manual? Total pull weight shouldn't exceed 1200lbs, 1400 at the worst. Since the hitch won't pull more than 2500 and tounge 300, think I'd be safe here anyhow?
I do have a tranny cooler and I don't plan to gun it the whole way, but should I be prepared to plop some cash on a new transaxle during this 2500 mile haul?
I know nothing of towing or max curb weight of these cars. I just fix them after people who pull too much come in with problems.

For some reason I think it's 2,000lbs. I have a hitch on mine, bt I've only used it to tow other people, not a trailer... lol
