GReddy Prelude Turbo question!!!

Hello all!
I found this forum on the web while browsing for random JDM Type S mods and i read some interesting things that have really helped me in understanding the different products in the aftermarket and how they do not necessarily have to be JDM to be better. I do not own a Prelude but i love the car. My dream is to buy a 97-99 Prelude (non SH) and just turn it into an unsuspecting race machine, just like every other guy/girl in this forum. All i have to say is that to all you people who have Prelude's out there i envy you! Well i got a question that just nags in my head, and remember i just ask these questions out of genuine curiousity. I know that GReddy has just released a Prelude Turbo kit and an Air-Air intercooler kit. They use TD05/TD06H-18G Mitsubishi turbocharger and i was wondering how high you can turn up the boost on it before you have you begin worrying something might break under your hood? And is it also possible to put a bigger turbo on the existing kit, or is it designed turbo specific? Man i talk a WHOLE lot, and i am real sorry but i am a curious mind and just as the new Vanilla Coke ad says, reward your curiosity. Thanks for any help guys!

P.S. For anyone interested there is a new book out that just came out April '02 published by HPBooks called "Honda/Acura Engine Performance: How to modify D, B, and H series Honda/Acura engines for street and drag racing performance", i bought it and its really explains everything you need to know about how to tune these engines, and they work.

As far as breaking something in the engine I would say about 7psi if the motor is in good condition and using stock internals. The greddy kit is really made to be upgradeable as it is. I dont see why you would want a bigger turbo because the kit puts out an aditional 65hp at 7psi and the 18g turbo can boost up to and over 20psi. Unless you are planing on going with a motor build the only thing you might want to do is down size to get less lag. Im sure changing the turbo is posible if you wanted though. Even the 370cc injectors that come with the kit are made to hold more than 7psi worth of power. I recently gave them a call and asked them what if I were to build my motor and need bigger injectors to support the extra power is there a new chip or something I could get for the injectors and they flat out told me that I would need another type of engine management. I think this would only be needed though if you wanted to boost to large levels and make really big power. I would much rather have the f-max kit because of the r-ideal optional head gasket that can lower the compresion ratio and make it able to boost to levels unimaginable with stock internals. Like Im talkin 11 to 12psi daily with stock motor except the head gasket. The kit comes with everything imaginable all the piping, lines, intercooler, MSD ign., and I even think a fuel management unit to adds more fuel automaticaly as the boost rises or the engine needs it but Im not sure if it comes with the kit or it is optional but I know you can get it with the kit.
