1997 UK PRIMERA 2.0 TD (AC) THe Engine light stays on, got it checked out by NISSAN dealer who put it down to MAF Sensor problem. .The MAF sensor has 4 wires not 3 wires as described in the technical pages on this web page. I have fouer other primers , all of which have three wires in their MAF sensors. Can anyone help and tell me why this sensor is different. Whre can I obtain another sensor / or how to ground or check the sensor which has 4 wires!! Please HELP!!!

You say your car is a turbo diesel?
If so, this is why the MAF sensor has 4 wires.
Diesels use a totally different ECU arrangement. The ECU and all it's sensors are specific to the diesel range, not petrol versions.
I'm afraid that this'll probably be a main dealer part. What you could do is try to find the make & part number off the sensor (it'll probably be a Bosch or Hitachi part). You could probably locate one from your local motor factors if you had this information.
Otherwise, do you have a haynes manual? If so, the wiring diagrams would tell you which is the ground wire - although I suspect that you've got a knackered sensor here, so I'm not sure if it's worth bothering with.
Sorry!

I have a '98 Primera 2.0 GX TD, and also had problems with the air flow meter causing a lack of power. I had to go to the main dealer after a lot of looking elsewhere. It cost me £365 but the car goes like a rocket now. Although there are other problems with the car which I might post on here to see if anyone can help with. Anyway goodluck!!!
