My car seems to go through tires like they were free, even the high mileage ones lasted a third of what they should have. I do rotate them every 10, 000km like I'm supposed to. Anybody else have the same problem?

How about it, how long do your tires last?

Depends on so many factors its not funny.

Type of tire, speed rating etc.

I got michelins that were guaranteed 50,000 miles - i got like 69,000 out of them before i finally switched them out, after 250 plus a miles a day 5 days week.

I had 130,000km rating GF goodrich tires, and they didn't make it to 30,000km before they were nearly totally bald. I drove pretty hard on those tires, but they were evenly worn, which makes me think that there was another factor at work here. ?

How is your alignment?

Hmm... It was done 18 months ago, but I think that when I had the muffler replaced, the muffler shop did a shitty job, and over time, a dent has formed in the passenger control rod. Maybe it is out again.

On that topic, the allignment shop charges $8 a tire for balancing. In your opinion, is this money well spent?
