Hi again,
I have been told that I may have damaging Tranny fluid. (and I bet I do even if it is not the prob.) So, the question is: should I have an oil change place flush it and re fill it with the right stuff? The dealer says that they do not flush, so they cannot change the fluid all at once, but they drain it, put some in, drive it, drain it etc...
what should I do?

DO NOT FLUSH!It is a big no no.Replce the fluid and filter.I have to replace one because someone had it flushed. It was acting up and 4th gear is out,it was down 4 quarts of trans fluid

how does a flush leave the level 4 quarts low same can happen by dropping the pan and removing 50% of the oil and adding 10% back it's human error man

I agree w/ 1thunder, a flush won't hurt the transmission at all. I used to do it all the time when I worked for a tranny shop. In fact, most times, we noticed a difference in the performance of the transmission b/c of the flush.

A flush does hurt the transmission. My father knows a guy that has his own transmission repair shop that cleans valve bodies because someone had the transmission flushed.Dirt gets into the valve bodies and causes bad shifts. After cleaning the valve body, shifts just fine and makes money off these valve body cleanings. This guy does not reccomend flushing a transmission too.I had to replace a transmission today because it was flushed and it was acting up.Put the replacement and worked fine.A flush uses more fluid than a fluid change. This one that was replaced was 4 quarts low after the flush and it was checked. It was customer's car that she bought from my father and was complaining of a rattle. It was inside of the transmission down 4 quarts and I will find out what went wrong with it when I scrap it out.

THe Tranny was flushed. Interestingly, Valvoline instant oil does not change filter when flushing, also, does not put appropriate fluid in. They use a standard fluid and add conditioners. I went to dealer. It seems fine, but we will see.
