I have a 94 1500 w/4L60e trans. The torque converter is engaged and will not disengage. I have changed the TCC solenoid and torque converter, no change. I unplugged the wiring harness from the trans, no change. I removed the valve body, everything looked O.K. I checked the TCC soleniod, it is getting a signal when the brake pedal is mashed. Could it be the pump?

Is the tcc valve stuck in it's bore, what symptoms are you getting?

When I put it in gear (forward or reverse) the truck stains to move and goes dead. No codes or service engine light.

That may not be the TQ, it could be trans is locked up with 2 units applied thus it stalls the engine, I assume it runs ok in nuetral? What did the fluid look like when you had it apart, same problem existed before.

Yes, it runs fine in park and neutral. The fluid looked and smelled ok. A couple of times when I came to a stop it would felt like the trans was trying to push me through a red light or stop sign, before it locked up for good. I'm pretty sure that it is not a bad torque converter.
Do you mean that it could be in two gears a the same time (forward and reverse)? Could the EMC be bad? I replaced it about 2 yrs. ago. Maybe I should just replace the whole transmission but I am afriad that I might still have the same problem if it's something else thats controlling the trans.

I think you need to have this looked at by a trans guy with the proper scanner, he can confirm solenoid operation, possible one is stuck on conflicting with another clutch pack or application.
