Want to buy M1 Miata

I am looking to buy a first generation miata for my senior project. I intend on turning it into a spec miata and am on a tight budget so im looking to spend 500-1500. I don't care what color or general condition just as long as it runs or can be made to run relatively easily. Thanks!

i loved this car to death. Had it 6 years almost. It has 135,xxx miles on it. in excelent condition. Till someone backed into me in a parking lot and let. Causing damage to my front passengers side fender and body kit bumper (i still have the oem bumper, its just a little faded). Still repairable. Until a couple of months ago, driving i hit some thing on the road and it destroyed my passenger side wheels. A shop said it also may have bent my tire rod or something of the sort. Nothing major. But insurance didn't feel the need to fix my car. They said paying for the wheels and tires is beyond what theyre willing to spend on my car. They salvaged out the car and sold it back to me. I have as you can see TOOO many mods to just loose the car. So its availabe for partout or sale. I just bougtht a 99 miata, so some parts will be channeling over to it.
