Aaah... the motor mounts.....

So, I have a vibration in my steering wheel when at idle that makes my G feel like a '69 Camaro sometimes. It's not all the time, just sometimes... But, I checked out the front motor mount this morning (I had to work early, it's dark, couldn't see the other mounts) and I saw that sure as shit, the damn motor mount bushing is all old and brittle. Kinda rotted out looking. My question, is this a MAJOR problem? Something I need to fix immediately?! Or can it wait a bit. Also, I'm sure you all have gone through this, how much does it cost to have them replaced? There's 3 mounts right? Prices on each if you know? Damn, I knew I should have bout that '01 when I was at the dealership..... Ha ha! :bonghitte

Probably not the same problem, but I have an rpm-sensitive buzz/vibration in the steering column, floor pan, and gas pedal of my '93 G20. Drives me nuts -- on the highway it's like driving a 3,000 pound joy buzzer. Had the motor mounts checked by two garages, was told they are OK. Had 1 or 2 mounts relaced previously, I think they ran me about $225 a pop, parts and labor. Any ideas? Thanks
