i have many ideas about what i want to do to my crx. one is to convert it to a 5 lug so i can run the si type rims from an acura tl. the rims are 16 inch which will provide room for a brake upgrade. i want the car to look stock. i know i can buy any set of 16 inch rims that are 4 lug but this is my vision plus 5 lug wuold look cool.. i saw on ebay a guy selling an integra type r suspension set up for 800 and then 300 shipping. what exactly is needed. i am really starting to do my research and hopefully soon i can begin. any thoughts or suggestions?

Im not posotive on this, but I dont think it is a direct bolt on. I would deff check to see what you are getting into.

the trailing arms bolt on no problem. the itr control arms in the rear wont work on yours, but you can still use your original ones.
for the front, if you plan on using the entire fron knuckle, get a camber kit and a jim fab front crossmember. this will allow you to adjust the cast and camber, since all the internet mechanics insist that integra front knuckles "alter geometry".
if your are scared about the geometry and can swing the price of a camber kit and jim fab crossmember, you can always find some 90-91 4 door EX knuckles, and then pres the 5 lug hub into it and put the brake components from the ITR setup onto them.

what is the least amount of stuff required? I mean, can i just use the hubs and rotors or do i need to change the suspensuion as well? I dont have to do that. i just want to get the five lug to put those rims on.

you need the following:
a front knuckle that accepts 10.2" rotors
calipers for 10.2 inch rotors
5 lug rotors
5 lug front hubs
5 lug rear hub
5 lug rear rotors
disc brake lines
ebrake cables
rear calipers
proportioning valve
if you get the front knuckle from a 90-91 EX 4dr, just put the 5 lug hub in it, and then put the 5 lug rotor on that. the calipers from the ITR will bolt to that knuckle, but if you have the ITR one, use it.
for the rear, take the hub assembly off of your trailing arm and replace it with the ITR one. this includes the rotor and caliper. then put brake hoses from any rear disc equipped civic or integra, and ebrake cables from either a CRX Si or del sol that has rear discs. the integra ones are too long, but they will work. you may just have to get creative in tucking them up in the frame.
edit: if you use front knuckles from any other generation civic or integra, people have said that the car wont have good caster. i have 92 integra fron knuckles on my EF, and i havent had any caster issues, but the internet mechanics insist it wont work. if you do use the ITR fron knuckles, and the caster is out afterward, go to www.jimfab.com and consider his front crossmember. it has caster adjustment on it. hope this is enough info to at least get you stuck and having fun fiddling with it

well, unfortunetly i will not be doing the work since i do not have any tools or somewhere to do it. I go to a shop called SRD here in Tempe AZ and they may be a little pricey {80 an hour for work}but i have never had a complaint against them and they dont BS you. they have even saved me money on things i did not need one time. So they will be having the headaches. i am just trying to buy the parts for them.

boooooo....find someone to help you do it....no greater satisfaction than doing a job yourself...you can borrow tools

when you upgrade to bigger calipers, any car that uses 10.2" originally will work. you could probably look at the part numbers for all the different civics and integras that have 10.2" rotors and most of them will be the same.
for bigger rotors, you buy ones for ITR
same thing with the rear discs. CRX Si, del sol Si, EG civic Si, integras, they all have the same rear discs.
edit: if the shop you are getting the work done at doesnt know which parts you need and dont need, i wouldnt trust them to do the work

i know that doing the work myself is a geat feeling and if any of my freinds were competent enough i would do it with there help.i did some work on my old crx in shop class at school. most of my freinds are not into doing things to there cars. Some dont even care if a car CAN be fixed up. Theshop knows what they are doing, its just cheaper if i get the parts for them. they have no problem puting them on my car.
