I had ordered a pair of Sylvania Silverstar H1 headlights off ebay about 3 or 4 days before totalling my '01 Prelude. The lights came a couple days after. OBVIOUSLY I have no need for them. If anyone would like them, please e-mail me. rmp5s1@excite.com They're brand new in the box...I haven't even opened the box they were shipped in yet but I will before shipping them to make sure that everything's alright with them. $30 shipped and they're yours. A pair is over $40 in stores. Would make a nice Christmas gift. Very easy to install. They're a great addition to the car...they're not just brighter, but they look cool too.

Wha? I'm sorry to hear about the lude, I know you just got it. How'd it happen?
And I was gonna pick up some silverstars anyway so I might as well buy em off you for a little discount. I'll PM you.

...At least you have a Turbo Z31! How do you like that? How quick is it for you, how does it handle and stop compared to the lude?? Sorry about your lude though, that's a real bummer.

Nice Turbo 300ZX. Which one is faster, Lude or Turbo Z?

I was just wondering how fast they can go because theres a 88 Turbo ZX 5-speed parked on the street where I live. Its got a sign for sale $400 only. Not sure about the condition of the car yet but I am thinking about buying it. I think the price is really cheap..

For $400, buy it man. You sink a few grand, if that much, in it and you'll smash most cars on the road...that's why I bought it. You could easily be running with 350Zs in the dash to 60 for a mere $800 in mods. I bought it to rebuild. I bought the Prelude to drive every day. The prelude handled better...that's what ~20 yrs worth of technology will do for you. However, when I get the poly bushing set, sway bars and lowering springs in the 300, it'll be a different story. They were both about the same speed wise. My prelude was an auto though. I think a manual might be a tad faster stock for stock...auto was probably pretty close. But once the auto hit 4th gear, it was a slug. 3rd gear was fun though. The Z has an intake, "poor man's high flow exhaust" and a ghetto ass boost controller that doesn't work right so it's kinda not stock. It goes pretty well. I have TONS of plans for it...but I have to find something else to drive first so I can take it apart.
The Prelude was a little faster stock...but the Z has a turbo...all I have to do is up the boost...

Me and my homeboy went to check the car and yeah as I was expecting, the car got many problems. Turbocharger is frozen, clutch slips, tranny is noisy and etc. My homeboy really like the car and so he bought it. Today we tested the engine compression pressure and its still in good shape, 160 +/- 5 psi on all cylinders. The manifold vacuum reading on idle is a little low about 10 in-hg (normally 15-21 in-hg). The low vacuum reading is probably due to restriction from the frozen turbocharger. Well even though I did not get the car, I Ill be the one doing the work for my homeboy and he'll be paying me big cash for the labor. Ill show you some pics when I start working on his project car.

That's cool. Might as well upgrade the turbo since you have to pull the old one out...kill 2 birds with one stone. The stock turbo is only (yea..."only"...) good up to 15 psi so a swap is needed for any real performance.
