radiator replacement

I just found out I need to replace my radiator in my '97 K1500 5.7. Anybody done that before? I've changed out a few before...years ago. Is there anything that makes this vehicle exceptionally difficult? Are there any special tools I need? Where can I find an inexpensive quality replacement? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Very easy to replace, a radiator is a radiator. theres no new technology involved. You got the top support bracket. 2 large hose clamps, maybe a couple trans cooler lines, and thats about it.Oh ... Quality and cheap? No such thing.

One thing I'd do is put the green antifreeze in it when you're done. If you have any warantee on it, green will void it, but since you're replacing it youself, I'm guessing there's no warantee on it. I've only heard bad things about the orange stuff, maybe why the radiator needs replaced?. Also, flush the block really good.

I just ordered one from a place called Radiator Doctor I found on ebay, got if for 259.00 shipped. Sounded like a pretty fair price to me. The old one is cracked. They said this one has a lifetime warranty in case it ever cracks they will replace it and pay shipping.
