ok, here's the story... a friend slid off the road the other day in his 89 prelude si, and now the suspension is pretty goofed up (from what he says, i haven't seen it yet). anyway, he has an offer to sell it for 700.
our plans for this summer included putting a turbo on his current engine (220k mi b20a5) to experiment and make as much power, reliably, as possible. after finding a known setup, we would overboost and kill the engine to be replaced with the low mileage b20a5 i have in my garage (got the whole swap for 70) and use the known settings to make for a reliable powerplant.
what i'm curious about, is what years will the b20a5 fit easily into? if he does decide to sell his car, we'd like to find a prelude to toss this engine into, even if we have to buy a dead engine but good body.
however, we'd prefer something with the b20a5 so we can follow through with the above plan. :hint hint: anyone know of a b20a5 powered prelude that's for sale?
thanks in advance guys

The B20a5 will fit into a 88-91 prelude. The 90-91 prelude comes with a B21 but the B20a5 will fit. I would suggest boosting the motor with low miles friend. Boosting the 220k motor will only leave you with more labor time. If you need any help or questions answered let me know man. I am also doing a swap. JDM B20a will be going in soon. check it out

Emissions crap. The B20a is the same motor but a few more horses. 146 hp aprox.
