I have a 97 plymouth breeze, has about 70k. Besides a bad headgasket, it has been a good car, despite two recalls. Its a nice vehicle to drive, and is pretty efficient, although the engine could have more power...
Anyway, for a long time now, there has been an issue with the steering wheel, when the car is at idle.
At hot idle especially, when sitting, car in drive, at a stop, the steering wheel shakes violently. The engine idles fine and smooth, and it doesnt seem to be related to the engine. But the steering wheel shakes a lot. Putting it in neutral helps reduce it somewhat, but it still can be noticed.
Dealer doesnt have an idea...
Any ideas???
Thanks,
JMH

check motor mounts. Those usually cause vibrations at idle.
