High intensity bulbs

Has anyone seen any high intensity taillight bulbs? There are four 3157 bulbs that I need to replace.
I tinted the taillights, but now the bulbs don't shine through too bright. I tried LED's, but since the LEDs are only facing outward, they are actually dimmer (the LED bulbs don't shine on the reflective surface).
Regular 3157 bulbs have wattages of 8 watts when on, and 27 watts when you apply the brakes or use your blinkers.
I need bulbs with higher wattages... PLEASE HELP!

Doesn't the use of higher voltage lighting create more heat and possibly melt your housings over time? I've heard of that with headlights for sure, but tail lights... Hmmm... Just curious...
Of course, I could be just completely paranoid too! LOL

I have heard the same thing... but if the wattage is not too far from the standard, then usually there won't be a problem.
