After changing plugs and wires and having injectors cleaned I am now getting a p102 error message. I was wondering how to tell if the maf sensor is bad before spending the cash to replace it. thanks

Funny you bring this up, because I was just gonna post something similar. I just changed the plugs on my '97 for the first time since new (115,000 miles), and the next day the MIL lit up, first time on the highway with the new plugs. I didn't pull the code, but since it was running fine, I decided to see what happens. Today, as I was driving around, I was trouncing it a little harder than usual, and the light went out. I'm guessing the ECM had been operating the motor at a handicap because of the old plugs, and the new firing strength was freakin' it out, somehow. BTW, it is running so smooth, I can't tell if its running at idle. And a hesitation off-idle is now gone, since the light went out. You might wanna wait, if it seems to be running right. My light was on about 1 week.

Anyhow, got way off the subject there, sorry. You can tap the MAF with a screwdriver handle while it is idling, and if the idle reacts to it in any way, the MAF is junk. (missing, changes idle speed, etc.)
