alright, this has probably been brought up before, but i really need some opinions from u guys. anyways, i have a question about accelerating. when i go into 2nd gear it feels like the car is hesitating like its not using all of it's power to get up to speed. same in 3rd, 4th, and 5th. when i push on the gas it hesitates again. i don't get it. this is the best way i can explain so i hope u guys understand my question. any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

At what rpm are you shifting?

3000 rpm to save gas.

could be anything from a bad O2 sensor to your plug wires to faulty spark plugs or dirty injectors. what year is your lude? any CEL's?

3000 rpm's? that's the problem. you can't shift at low rpm's to conserve gas, and then complain about acceleration! :shakehead

no, i know what he's talking about. when you shift, you hit the gas and nothing happens, then all of a sudden it kicks in. i have the same problem in my 5th gen on rare occasions, feels like a floating clutch or something

that wasn't what i was talking about dbebesi! anyways, i've got bosch platinum +4 spark plugs maybe that has little affect to my problem. thanks for the info del, now i have some idea on what could be wrong. oh, i have a 93 vtec lude.

You have the famous h22a lag hesistation. I have the same problem and i am currently trying to fix this. Does your car also run like crap when it is hot outside?

naw, it does that in my 3rd gen b21a (unless some charitable fool swaped in an h22 without telling me....i can dream cant i?) im checking everything from O2 sensor to fuel filter when i get my paycheck.

I was told to check the main relay, O2 and distributor cap.

Sorry the distributor system (cap, coil etc..) also make sure you are running the correct octane for your car, make sure you got a tune-up as well.
