'95 prelude price

i might be gettina '95 prelude within the next week for about $5.5k, anyone know if thats a descent price? only one owner and 134k miles on it

what type of prelude is it? S type...SI...or Vtec???

The last time I checked resale on a 95 vtec was like 4500 to 5000, but that's third owner with 110,000. It sounds like a good deal but I would do carfax to be sure its a good find. Good luck, the lude is a great car!

i live in virginia, an i dont know whether is a si or vtec, its probaly si, she (the owner) got it 26k brand new. the clutch an brakes hav also been replaced

can anyone tell me what to expect, i've never seen the speedometer so i dont know how fast it goes, i just know its got 130ish ponies

i say get some wheels too, especially if you have hubcaps. you can find a good deal on wheels and still have some money left over. your car is not going to die on you.

hahaha a Honda die on u??? with 134k miles...dude RELAX it's not a Domestic car..134k miles in import car's specially Toyota,Honda,Nissian means 60-90k miles in Domestic car's bottom line ur car should be running fine if ur paying $5,500 and it's a Honda...if it's not then u need to spend ur money elsewhere....

It won't die on you, believe me. If its a honda, toyota..basically any japanese made car. Proper maintenance, and it won't die on you.

My dad has a 95 Toyota T100 with nearly 300k miles on it. He commutes an hour to work everyday. His truck still runs strong to this very moment.

I bought my '95 SI for $6500 two yrs ago. I'm pushing 150K and she still runs like a bat out of hell. My brakes went out a while ago, and I had to fix that, but since yours are already fixed, no problems there. My main recommendation, is replace the cast-iron header assembly stat! They're not all that strong, and you can get a "decent" one for around $150 if you shop around. It's something you can replace yourself in like 4 hrs with NO know-how except for a Chilton's manual. Other than spark plugs and the usual necessities, I can't think of any other engine parts off the top of my head you should look at, since the 'lude's a tough little car.

One word of advice, if you're gonna go total rice, and want a bodykit AND wheels, get the kit, and paint and whatever else you want BEFORE the wheels. A lot of guys I roll with put the body armor and paint on AFTER their wheels, and get real upset when the wheels they bought don't jive well with the overall scheme of the car. Be patient, 'cuz yeah, you will get some funny looks with a full kit and stock rims, but it pays off in the end to have the look come together as a coherent whole, rather than disjointed un-cooperative visual parts. It takes time, but a few funny looks are better than buying TWO sets of rims. Do it right the FIRST time, and you’re done with it.
