i have hood pins on my carbon fiber hood. i don't have them on there for looks. i just have them so i'll never worry about my hood flying off.

Why would it fly off if it uses the factory mounting points but is "stronger than steel"? I've had one on for 2 years without pins and at high speed it has never even thought about coming off.

So CF hoods without pins are inherently unsafe? Do you put pins in a stock hood? I think that if the hood is very good quality you don't need them. 2 years at 120+MPH speeds and I aint worried.

DONT PUT HOOD PINS ON...IMO, I think hood pins make the car look ugly

remember, firebirds and camaros have fiberglass hoods stock without hood pins. so do a lot of other vehicles.
