probably ur water pump. u need to chek teh coolant level. if none put some in and look for leaks. in the4th gen the coolant will leak from the driver side of teh engine bay behind the block right near the corner. oil spraying? not sure maybe the pump is oiled? if leakin elsewhere figure out where. water pump isnt too expensive but theyw ill replace ur timing belt at the same time. so round 400 id say. let us kno

its 5 gen 97, leakin in the engine bay, below the ignition box, what would cause this anyway? and should i worry about future problems because of it?

if u drive it while its overheating u could easily crack ur radiator, head gasket, exhaust manifold, and possibly your block, so before u divre make sure u ahve some coolant in there. have u cheked your coolant?

well i got my car back today, apparently there was an oil leak before i got the car which wore out one of the hoses so it was all soft and shit, and just a matter of time before it bust, so he replaced the hose and added some more coolent and the lude is good to go

I had to replace a hose in that area 5X or more but I coulnt tell you what you fucked up watch your gages and shut it down. lol when the car is that hot IT may cause some severe problems.
