turbo kits for prelude vtec H22 (1993)

Ive been looking at ways to get more hp. Was looking at N2O but am now looking at getting a turbo. Ive been looking at the turbo kits, are these kits everything you need for a stock engine? Theres a few on line around $2500-3500 for up to 8psi if I remember correctly. If I bought one of these kits would it simply bolt on? Is this the best option to go or is there a less expensive route that will still work fine with a stock engine (apart from cat back exhaust, air intake and a vafc which will be tuned when I get the turbo)

Yes, turbo is the best way to go with the 93 h22 lude. Its kinda expensive but its worth it. 8 psi is kinda on the edge, if i were you i would modify the motor's internals just to be safe. Turbonetics and Drag turbo kits aren't bad. Most turbo kits are bolt on. i also have a 93 h22 lude and i'm also thinking about turbo charging it. make sure you modify the internals and all the other little thinks. you have to make sure you know what your doing when getting into this kind of stuff. just look into, research, find dynos. in my opinion, any turbo charged engine is unreliable, but if you do it right your motor should be fine. yes definitely dyno tune it after the install and don't run anymore than 8psi
i'd say more like 6-7 just to be safe

I just finished putting on my turbo kit on my 93 vtec all I can say is make sure you use the right manifold get the one that comes straight out because there is no room for the down pipe with the twisted pipe style. also I would recomened the hondata computer system but you will have to get a cpu off a civic to be able to run it. but the rewards when you are finished are awsome I have so much torque now you will have to upgrade you clutch to hold at least 400 hp I also would upgrade the injectors and pump rc engineering makes direct bolt on injectors for the h22 550cc and I went with a walbro 255lph pump. before I bought my hondata I installed a missing link it was decent but If you can afford it go with the hondata it tunes very well
