92 Preludes didnt have the Vtec option. So S is F22 sohc 2.2 liter, SI is h23 dohc 2.3 liter. 93 to 96 saw the h22 dohc vtec motor for 4th gens.

well the engines should be the dead giveaway but as far as appearence im not to good. Im going to say SI has trim around the bottom and S doesnt. SI has a spoiler and S doesnt. SI has a 3rd brake light and S doesnt?

Just about the same as you can put a VTEC engine in an SI. You will save on insurance this way too, as long as they don't know you did the swap. This is actually what I would do if I could go back and do it again, knowing what I know now.
Other than the hubcaps and spoiler, I can't really think of anything different between the SI and S.

I'm pretty sure all came with 4 wheel discs.
Check the FAQ sticky at the top of this prelude forum for information. Aces wrote a nice article on it. I wouldn't attempt this swap unless you have some general knowledge of what you are doing. Other than that, I would invest in a helms manual. ( http://www.helminc.com )
Good luck. There is information everywhere about preludes on the net. Just do a little search.

Can anyone confirm the power locks difference? I thought they all had it.

I don't think it has power locks. car websites say S doesn't.
