yo duecer, I have a 5 in in my car, a buddy put it in, but Ill tell you what he did. THe guage comes with four wires, and two loops in the back. I clipped one of the loops (it will tell you to cut either both or jsut one) clip just the one that lines up for the 4 banger. Green wirte goes to your negative coil, I have to run mine through the distributor and find the negative coil through splicing wires, cuz on the 97 and up, maybe on 4th gen too, there is no external negative coil. Yours is a 91 so probably has an external negative coil, so it would probably be easier, cuz my buddy has 91 civic and his is external. Anyway, the black is ground to some metal in your car, white you have to run through your parking lights, and red is power to the battery. Its simple, but I have to punch through the firewall (used a drill) and went to engine bay from there. As for the lights (white wire), i went through the parking lights on my steering column. It is sometimes hard to find the right parking light fuse, so get a schematic of your prelude online or from a dealership and do it to it. Don't know if this helped, I'm kinda new, but thats what i did, mounting it took as long as wiring it. The electronics are easy, its taking apart the stering colummn and pilar which takes the most. Good luck peace -slolude
