Here's the wrap, I pick up this '88 yellow 2.0si(B20a5) $1600 good deal.
I hit the highway on the way home and at 5100rpm i here vtech kick in(I was scootin'). It's great I love it. But one problem I hope I'm not facing... Besides the chip swap is there anything else that would need to been done, to make this motor vetch? hybryd head gasket replacment? How would I find out if my head has been replaced?

From my knowings VTec dident come into the picture till 93 i belive on preludes enyway, not even in japan..does your head say V Tec on it? DOHC? Is the block # B20A5? lots of people are doing swaps on the b20 and putting a B16 head on it with a V Tec controller...on 88-91 non carb they can fool you into thinking you have VTec and really you dont its just butterfly opening up at 5g's and it sounds a lot like VTec but its not.....thairs a post on here somewere that i explaind how it works and someone else though they had VTec and they dident......Hope you do have VTec that would kick ass on a 3rd gen.
