Targa Top on a Prelude

Alright i have a 95 prelewd and am wondering what you guys think of doin the modification of a targa top on it, similar to that on a supra. I have seen a mitsubishi eclipse with this mod and it looked friggin awesome. Wondering what ya all think..

Anything is possible. I think it might look good. My buddy next door has a supra targa. He told me to do the same but to much money and fabrication.

if you do it, I'd SERIOUSLY recommend putting in a subframe under the car. Unibodies weren't meant for targa or convertible, the roof keeps the car structurally sound, if you make a break in the roof, you'll begin to notice your doors sagging, then sticking, then they most likely won't even close.

make a hardtop removable convertable :smile:
there right about the frame, a buddy of mine tried cutting the top of a 81 civic, and it actually buckled into the ground within minutes

Ya i figured as much then contemplated T-tops but i really do not like t-tops, just an idea thanks for you inputs...
