one question ive always needed clearing up was an ecu like hondata or motech compared to like an aem ems vs a vafc or safc. i know vafc only controls like air fuel etc, and doesnt remap the ecu directly just kinda fools it, where as a ems and ecu directly remap and interface with the cars ecu. now if someone could further enlighten me on the benefits of ecu or ems pros cons etc itd be great. Thanks, ben

Using the ECU requires burning an EPROM and chipping the ECU. The EMS uses a computer to change variables. Anyone want to detail this? I am in a huge rush right now.

p13/p14 bases its info on 7sensors; u can interpret those signals using safc/vafc smt etc to fool ecu. Main brain is still honda ecu.
Main advantages with standalone are more complex map tables (8x8+), to tune it right u need at least 48hrs of work; logging data while engine is warming up, cooling down, barometric difference, temperature etc. but u loose things like cruise control etc. s100, s200 are not real time as standalones are, as I remember, N.S http://dayne.dobrynet.pl/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

an afc is just a hack to the map sensor. it doesnt take 48hrs to tune a motor with ems. ems systems like crome, hondata, etc CAN take up to a few hours.

motec, haltech, autronic, tag, magnetti marrelli, efi ......
u can tune it to whatever parameters u want it to be, and yes u can tune it to be as good as ur old stock honda use to be, even for cold starts :)

so can you explain how you make changes on parameters? maybe show some pictures or something.
