Alright i have a 95 lewd and unfortunalty a little while back I went the cheap way and just bought a muffler instead of a full exhaust. But the good thing is i really like the sound, and look. But now I want to put a high flow cat in. This sound like a good idea or should i just knuckle down and buy a whole new exhaust and if not, does anyone know of any good brands of high flow cats that will still allow me to run my sensor and pass emission.

THANKS
ROB

whip out the cash, swap out the stock exhaust, put in a real exhaust. then find a high flow cat that matches the diameter of your new cat-back. look into carsound and random tech cats. carsounds are considerably cheaper than the RT ones, and work well enough. RT's are good but pricey. check the carsounds though, a lot of them are universal and require welding and some don't allow you to use the O2 sensors without modification.

i would go with carsound cat, more flow than stock and cheap. Others cost too much and ain't worth it unless you plan to turbo.

I had to wield my Magnaflow cat onto my DC-S header and RSR Exmag. I wish I still had the stock cat.

Why do you wish you still had stock cat??

Downpipe and catback are supposed to bolt on to the cat. Magnaflow universal is shorter, so I had to fabricate then wield.
