i am planning to put a 94-96 vtech engine in my 92 and was wondering how i could change the tach and speedo to match the redline of the vtech engine instead of the si.

I just did the same swap (f22a1->h22a) and used an aftermarket tach. My speedo was not affected at all by the swap. And it is spelt VTEC. vtech is a phone. hahaha

That's right, you can switch out the gauge cluster, and at the same time get a more accurate tachometer than the factory cluster.
