hey i just bought a great new 4th gen prelude, only problem is, I was really hoping to get cloth interior(sound weird?) because all of my last cars were leather and im sick of it. plus the color doesnt fit my car, its a jet black car with ivory colored custom leather seats. you think theres any way i could buy original cloth seats or trade someone maybe online and put black cloth seats back into my car???

that shouldn't be a problem at all. just a matter of finding some. try a salvage yard in your area. myself, i also prefer cloth to leather, particularly for sportier cars. more grip. plus they dont' get scorching hot in the summer nor are they ice cold in the winter like leather. and easier to maintain.

i'd trade you in a heartbeat. but i already have leather :smile:
if you have no takers quick, i know someone who will buy them in a second.

I wouldn't have thought it would be that difficult to do a straight swap over.
Do you have any pictures of your interior you could post?

Ivory? I wonder why Honda didn't put black leather. I agree with Del, I hate sitting on a freezing leather seat at 25 below. Sliding around in the seat while running a course is also a bitch.

Leather = more comfortable/looks nicer
Cloth = more practical

I have a 94 prelude with mint black cloth seats, and I'd be willing to set up some kind of trade for if prelewd decides he doesen't want them. Post pics

I love leather to cloth seats. Just like I like hardwood floors instead of carpet in my house.
Leather is worth the extra work, less dusty, more luxury feeling. I won't go back to cloth, never!

but it doesn't stain.
i'm covered in grease, daily, when i get in my car from work. the black leather seats don't show it at all. the seatbelt however....
