you have the H23a dohc 2.3l engine which is rated stock at 160hp and 156 lb ft. torque. 92-96 preludes are all the same body style. they made the junky sohc 4cyl.. then the 2.3dohc 4 cyl.. and the Vtec H22a 2.2l DOHC vtec (variable assisted valve timing). Your SI weighs around 2800 lbs. Can't think of anymore specs. Ask for more info.

Its probably ur pads and no preludes dont have that problem. most hondas have problems with there a/c. but usually its the drivers fault for racing it with the a/c turned on. u have a badass breaking system learn the love and apreciate it cause that abs will save ur ass. trust me i know

i don't know about that.. the braking in my prelude leaves something to be desired.
as for the 'screeching', your pads might be worn down to the wear indicator. time to replace them.

u need to change ur pads probably. worn pads means theres metal rubbing on metal to create that screeching sound.

You can check how much of the brake pads are left just looking through your rims at where the brake shoes meet the rotor. Mine is currently 1 cm thick, which is about 100%. If it is more like 2 mm, then it's time to replace them.
The sound could also be caused by the brakes rattling. If the pads are still good, then get some of that brake glue and spray it on the backside of the brake pad where the holder holds it.
