This is what we have. A complete 1985 Porsche 944. Has a 5 speed and a sunroof. (I guess this makes it a Cabriolet) She has 17,000 miles, and has ben stored for at least 10 years.

The low miles and storage are due to it being driven overheated and the motor s locked up. So, the major faults with her are, she doesn't run, and her back window is missing. Other than that, shes a beautiful car.

I know that piece by piece this vehicle would bring in a small fortune. I would rather sell her complete to someone with an engine that can bring her back to life. (I don't want to tear apart such a beautiful thing)

So here's the question. What would she be worth in this condition? Any info you can lend would be extremely helpful, or if I can get you more info that would help you help me, post and I will get it out here.

Thanks for your intrest,
Dave

I just bought an '89 944 with a 2.7 that the guy hit a speed bump and cracked the oil pan and kept driving( so the motor is junk) That car had 23,000 on it. and I paid $2000.00 A sun roof does not make it a cab. a convertable is considered a cabriolet. Where is the car?

There are two different 85 944 models.

The 85 was supposed to be a new model but it was not ready in time. The new car was a mid-year change and almost EVERYTHING is different.

IMO the later model is more desireable, the Interior will be like that of the 89. The early car has an interior and suspension that is like a 924.

As I recall...
The early car has a serial number sequence WP0...FN47...
The later car has a serial number sequence WP0...FN45...
Yup, reversed sequence.
