Pulling tranny

I'm having trouble pulling the tranny in my 65 Truck. I got all of the bolts out and I'm 99% sure the tranny is in neutral, but it won't come out. I have tried beating on it using a floor jack to push it up some( to try to break any seal), and and I tried to use rachet straps to pull it back! What the heck could be the problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have taken 6 bolts out from the block, and removed shift/clutch linkge too. Just thought I'd add that.

72...Yup I removed the starter and I think there should be a rear mount. there is a crossmember, but there is nothing attaching the tail to it. I'll just try to get someone to look at it I guess.

troll...I"m pretty sure there is no tourque converter, but just to pacify you, how would I disconect it if there were? I don't anything that I would call a tourque converter.

if its a standard it has no tourque converter. if its an automatic u will have to take out the 3 blots that hold the torque converter to the flex plate. to do this u have to rotate the motor a lil to get to all of them, i think they are going to be 9/16 bolt heads. u will need 2 wrenches, owning a fly wheel turning tool helps also ( may be hard to find though, took my 2 weeks to find one)

i wont lick that

Some trans has 7 bolts in the bell housing. the 7th one should be right behind the distribtor. Also Try turning the yoke on the end of the transmition back and foward wile trying to remove it .
